Terms of Service

1. The Service

ShiftLife AI is a shift scheduling and management tool for shift workers and professionals. It provides rotation planning, shift logging, earnings and per diem estimates, sleep and fatigue tracking, reporting, calendar sync and an AI Shift Coach. Features vary by plan and may change, improve or be discontinued over time.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate information. You may sign in with email and password or with Google. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure, and you agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Account data and security

Your account data — shifts, rotations, notes, wellness logs, contracts and pay rules — is stored in our managed cloud database with row-level access rules so that each account can read and write only its own records. Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted to authenticated sessions, and privileged operations are limited to our administrators. You keep ownership of the content you enter and grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to operate the Service for you. You can export or delete your data from the app at any time.

4. Google Calendar permissions

Connecting Google Calendar is entirely optional. When you connect it, ShiftLife AI uses Google Calendar access solely to read existing schedule events so they can be shown alongside your shifts, and to create or update the work shifts you choose to export to your calendar. We store only the credentials needed to maintain the connection (held encrypted) and the calendar event identifiers needed to keep shifts in sync — we do not copy the contents of your unrelated personal events into our systems, do not use Google data for advertising, and do not sell it or share it with third parties. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time in Settings or revoke access from your Google account, which stops all further syncing.

5. Plans, trial and billing

• A Free plan is available with limited features.
• Paid plans: Premium at $6.99/month or $66.99/year, and Pro at $12.99/month or $124.99/year, in US dollars.
• Paid plans start with a 2-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your selected plan begins and the first payment is taken automatically.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in Settings; access continues to the end of the paid period.
• Prices exclude taxes where applicable. We may change prices with notice, effective at your next renewal.

Payments are handled by our payment processor; we never store your full card details.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no unlawful activity, no attempts to breach security or access other users' data, no reverse engineering, no automated scraping, no reselling access, and no uploading of content you have no right to share.

7. Important disclaimers

ShiftLife AI provides organisational and lifestyle support. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or monitor sleep disorders, fatigue impairment or any other condition. Always follow your employer's fatigue rules and seek professional advice for health concerns.

Pay, overtime, differential, per diem, expense and tax figures — and AI Shift Coach output — are estimates based on the information you enter and are not financial, legal or tax advice. Verify earnings against your employer's official pay statement.

Alarms, alerts and reminders depend on your device, browser and operating system and may be delayed or missed. Do not rely on them as a sole safety-critical alarm.

8. Availability and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost wages or missed shifts.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using ShiftLife AI and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or create risk for other users or the Service.

10. Changes and contact
